I downloaded some movies from Home DVD section,and i have got DivX player 2.1,but i cannot open the file:windows "the format is not supported".

divx player only support divx movies.
you need to go http://www.divx-digest.com/software/movietype.html
and download movieTypeFinder, to see what type of mvie you got.
you can also see the ext of the file avi, mov etc.
mayby it's windows media player you should use?
